Turner & Townsend has bagged a $10.5m cost consultancy contract at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport.

The global programme management and construction consultancy will be involved in cost estimation and management, and project scheduling for DFW’s capital programme for three years.

DFW’s capital programme includes terminal renewal and expansion, building new garages and improving the infrastructure to facilitate 63 million passengers annually.

Turner & Townsend Aviation USA vice-president Tina Millan said: "Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is the world’s fourth busiest airport, and with 1,850 flights per day everything has to run like clockwork.

In April, the firm was commissioned by the City of Houston to lead the delivery of terminal redevelopment programme at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Prior to this, it has provided master planning, procurement strategy and risk management services for the development of the new three-runway system (3RS) at Hong Kong International Airport.
