Sierra Nevada’s subsidiary Sierra Completions has confirmed plans to build an aircraft completions complex in Colorado Springs, US, with an investment of $88m.
Planned to be built in the Colorado Aerospace Park at the Colorado Springs Airport, the complex will create 2,100 jobs.
The company has secured $23.2m incentives from Colorado Economic Development Commission for the project.
Sierra Completions president Jon Burgoyne said: "We were very pleased with the cooperation and commitment brought to the table by state and local officials, proving they’re invested as much in the success of Sierra Completions as we are.
"This new subsidiary of SNC will serve as an anchor tenant for the state’s emerging commercial aerospace industry, while also building on the company’s decades of experience in aircraft systems."
The company expects to begin work on the completion centre in the coming days following final agreements.
