CFM International has secured a $200m contract to provide CFM56-5B engines for BOC Aviation’s ten new Airbus A320ceo aircraft.
BOC Aviation placed an order with Airbus for 36 A320ceo and seven A320neo airliners in July 2014.

BOC Aviation managing director and CEO Robert Martin said: "This new engine order signifies our continued confidence in CFM56-powered A320 aircraft, delivering a reliable airframe and engine combination to our global customer base.
"It represents yet another key step in our established partnership with CFM to meet the needs of our customers."
The CFM56-5B is said to be the engine of choice for the Airbus A320ceo, and has been selected to power 55% of all aircraft currently in-service or on order.

CFM has delivered more than 6,600 CFM56-5B engines to date to operators worldwide. The CFM56-5B can power all the variants of the A320 family from A318 to A321, CFM said.
CFM International is a 50/50 joint venture of Snecma (Safran) and GE.
