Airbus Defence and Space has partnered with satellite operator SES to expand its satellite communications offerings in Australia and Pacific region with the launch of new services.
The partnership plans to use SES’s NSS-12 satellite and partner teleport to offer faster and more flexible connectivity.

Airbus Defence and Space said: "Mining and oil and gas customers in Australia and Pacific with operations in Africa will benefit from the new services because of lower latency on their communications."
The new services will employ Terralink VSAT (very small aperture terminal) service technology based on next-generation satellite communications technologies.
Terralink VSAT offers a wide range of shared bandwidth services, and facilitates deployment of corporate networks.
Airbus Defence and Space enterprise satellite communications head Danny Cote said: "We will provide mining and oil and gas customers with a connectivity service that not only meets the communications requirements of today, but also of tomorrow, in a competitive and highly efficient way."
