The company earlier increased its firm order for A321neo to 90 aircraft.

ALC chairman Steven Udvar-Házy said: "We see significant market appetite for Airbus’ A321LR and A330neo models, offering operators exactly what they want, even more range, even better economics and superior level of passenger comfort."

"The A321LR is designed to accommodate 206 passengers in a two-class layout, and fly longer routes of up to 4,000nm."

With the latest order, ALC has 258 firm orders for Airbus aircraft, including 53 A320ceo, 140 A320neo, 15 A330, 25 A350 XWB and 25 A330neo family airliners.

The latest addition to the A320neo family, A321LR, is said to offer additional flexibility as it will have the longest range over other single-aisle aircraft. First deliveries of the aircraft are planned to start in 2019.
