Passenger services provider and dnata company marhaba has reopened two of its airport lounges at Terminal 2 and 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB), with improved safety measures.

The lounges are hosted by marhaba’s safety ambassadors and are open for passengers from all travel classes.

Guests can also upgrade the travel experience by booking its Home Check-in and Meet and Greet services.

Last month, marhaba increased its services to ensure a safe and smooth journey for passengers at the airport. Along with its ‘Airport Meet and Greet and Chauffeur Services’, marhaba announced the offering of its ‘Home Check-in and Baggage Disinfection Services’.

dnata UAE Airport Operations and Travel divisional senior vice-president Steve Allen said: “Following the recent announcement of our innovative Home Check-in services, we are delighted to deliver more great news for Dubai travellers.

“Our services help passengers minimise touchpoints and maximise safety while enjoying tailor-made, customer-oriented services from check-in to baggage delivery. Our trained safety ambassadors stay committed to providing service excellence to the residents and visitors of Dubai, every day.”

The lounges will be open 24 hours, offering high-speed Wi-Fi and all-day dining that will cater to different dietary and cultural needs.

The dedicated safety ambassadors in the lounges have received training regarding health and safety protocols.

In addition, both of marhaba’s reopened lounges offer the option of touchless payments and are frequently cleaned and sanitised with increased focus on high-touch surfaces.

The buffets have been replaced with separate pre-portioned dining options.

All marhaba agents and lounge staff wear gloves and masks, and follow social distancing guidelines when assisting passengers at the airport.

Chauffeurs will also follow the safety protocols, and cars will be disinfected after each trip.
