London Luton Airport (LLA) has turned to technology firm Veovo to automate the billing of its aeronautical revenue.

Veovo’s Revenue Management solution will enable LLA to automate the assembling and processing of billing data in real-time.

This is expected to reduce errors, enhance the cash cycle time, minimise the cost to invoice and save time.

With a flexible tariff structure, Veovo will also enable LLA to expand routes via incentive schemes and monetise all kinds of services.

The airport aims to boost revenue growth through improved billing, which is critical to its recovery.

LLA IT head Kamal Patel said: “To create a more resilient and agile airport business, we wanted to drive real change with our revenue management by removing complexity while also creating opportunities to stand out from the competition with new creative tariff structures.”

The artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solution, which can serve both Single and Multi-Airport organisations, is available as an integrated component of the Veovo Intelligent Airport Platform or on a stand-alone basis.

It can integrate multi-modal passenger flow and airport management for better operations and increased revenue.

Meanwhile, LLA also introduced numerous new digital services for improving the passenger experience as passenger traffic gradually returns to the airport.

As part of the digital boost, digital kiosks have been installed to help travellers navigate through the airport.

The airport, in partnership with the phone charging network ChargedUp, now offers portable power banks that can be rented for a trip.

Other new services include contactless ordering via LLA Market Place and unlimited 10mb/s Wi-Fi across the terminal building.

Earlier this month, Veovo and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) partnered for the deployment of flow management technology.
