Etihad Guest, Etihad Airway’s frequent flyer programme, has announced the extension of its co-branding partnership with Visa for a further seven years.

According to Visa, Etihad Guest Visa users will soon benefit from new payment products and services, as well as simple and secure payments at over 100 million retailers globally.

This will allow the American payment service to establish an exclusive partnership for all Etihad Guest-branded cards across the UAE region.

Etihad chief revenue officer Arik De emphasised the hospitality aspects of the agreement, saying: “With more than 9 million members globally, the Etihad Guest programme offers our members and guests a richly rewarding travel and lifestyle experience.

“As two leading and trusted global brands, we’re proud to renew our exclusive partnership with Visa, giving us further ability to enhance and evolve the Etihad Guest programme for our members in the UAE both locally and as they travel the world with Etihad.”

“These are part of the exciting array of offerings we are adding as we further cement Etihad Guest’s position as a leading loyalty programme across regions.”

According to the airline, cardholders will receive benefits from concierge and insurance services whilst earning rewards through credit card usage.
