UK-based Menzies Aviation entered a partnership with National Aviation Services (NAS) and has overseen increased progression across the whole year.
During its £763m acquisition of Menzies in 2022, Agility announced that part of the deal was focused on combining the company with NAS to create a single firm providing aviation services in 58 countries.
In the past year, Menzies increased its air freight footprint from 69 to 75 sites.
Air Menzies International, the company’s freight forwarding division, also extended its global network by opening new branches in Frankfurt, Germany; Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan; and Toronto, Canada.
Menzies Aviation CEO Philipp Joeinig highlighted how the partnership has expanded focus on the company’s values.
Joeinig said: “We are extremely proud to reflect on the remarkable achievements and phenomenal growth we have experienced in the year since we joined forces with National Aviation Services.

By GlobalData“It is testament to the hard work, determination and collaborative spirit of our people, who continue to embody and represent the company’s values, no matter where they operate. We’re excited to look to the future, as we continue our journey to be recognised as the leading aviation services provider.”
This period of growth follows various of Menzies’ expansion efforts, which include its acquisition of Aircraft Services and Consulting, allowing the company to strategically enter the aviation market in Panama.
Menzies Aviation has consistently set targets for targeted development, particularly in the Americas region, which accounted for 34% of total revenue in their 2022 annual report.
Agility vice-chairman Tarek Sultan emphasised the success of the partnership so far and emphasised future expectations across the aviation sector.
Sultan said: “As we celebrate the one-year anniversary of Agility’s acquisition of Menzies and integration with its NAS business, it’s clear that the transaction has created value for all stakeholders. Menzies is the largest owned and operated business in Agility’s portfolio and an important contributor to the company’s performance.
“The acquisition has also allowed Menzies to accelerate its growth trajectory – Menzies today is the largest aviation services company in the world by geography, adding operations in six new countries and 18 new airports to its network in the last year alone. In 2024, we expect the aviation sector to continue to grow alongside the resurgence in global air travel demand.”
During the year of growth, the aviation servicer invested in technologies set to enhance their operations, including the extension of a five-year relationship with the i6 Group.
Menzies Aviation stated that the i6 technology allows fuel suppliers and airlines to manage their supply chains more effectively, collect data from anywhere and uncover additional fuel reductions.
