CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker said: “As an identity company obsessed with the customer experience, CLEAR is thrilled to be landing at Kansas City International.

“We’re proud to partner with an airport that shares our commitment to creating excellent traveller experiences, and we’re excited to be launching as part of the brand new, state-of-the-art terminal.”

CLEAR’s members have dedicated lanes at the airport to verify their identity with their eyes or fingers.

Once verified, the members will be escorted by CLEAR Ambassador through the dedicated lane and directly to TSA physical security.

The service offered by CLEAR will save passengers waiting time at the airport’s security checkpoint.

CLEAR serves nine of MCI’s top ten domestic destinations, enabling members to utilise the service on both ends of their journey.

With more than 14 million members, CLEAR currently operates at 51 airports.

Notably, the airport launched its new terminal with 40 gates and 16 dedicated security lanes on 28 February 2023.

Entailing a $1.5bn investment, the terminal is said to be the largest-ever single infrastructure project in Kansas City.

Last November, CLEAR launched its expedited security screening lanes at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in Carolina, Puerto Rico, which is the first airport outside the continental US to deploy these lanes.
