SIA has placed three consecutive orders for the A380, making it the second largest customer for the variant, and taking its total count of A380 fleet to 24.
The new A350 XWB order doubles the carrier’s backlog for the A350 XWBs to 40.
SIA plans to use the new A350-900 airliners on both medium and long-haul routes.
Airbus COO Customers John Leahy said the second repeat order from one of the largest A380 operators today was an endorsement of Airbus products.
