Global provider of aviation services Erickson Air-Crane has entered into a master agreement with Sikorsky Aircraft to manufacture fabricated aircraft assemblies.
Work under the latest agreement will begin immediately, and utilise Erickson’s experience in engineering, aircraft production and fabrication of aircraft assemblies.

The total value of the contract is more than $5.6m.
Erickson expects to realise the majority of contract revenues when assemblies begin shipping in 2014, through to 2015.
Erickson Air-Crane chief executive officer Udo Rieder said: "Erickson’s close working relationship with Sikorsky is supported by our unique capabilities in manufacturing, engineering, and design.
"The recent acquisitions of Evergreen Helicopters and Air Amazonia demonstrate our heritage as experts in heavy-lift helicopters, and position us as an excellent partner across a number of important platforms," Rieder said.

The company was recently awarded a two-year contract to offer medical evacuation service and support for the US Army at Fort Wainwright and Fort Greenly in Alaska.
