Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier Aerospace has received a conditional order from an undisclosed customer for 15 of its CSeries Airliners, made up of five CS100 and ten CS300 jetliners.
The order announced at this year’s Farnborough Air Show is valued at around $1.02bn, based on the aircraft list prices, and makes the undisclosed customer the CSeries programme’s 12th customer.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft president Mike Arcamone said that the company’s CSeries aircraft offered enhanced economic advantage compared to any aircraft in its class.
"The CS100 and CS300 airliners combine unmatched field performance along with transcontinental range, creating opportunities for new business models," he said. "What’s more, they’ll be contributing to more sustainable aviation with their reduced environmental footprints."
Scheduled to enter into service in the latter part of 2013, the CSeries airliners offer a seating capacity of 100 to 149 passengers, deliver 20% in fuel savings, reduce noise and emissions, while ensuring operational flexibility and airfield performance.
Weighing around 12,000lb and powered by Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1500G engines, the aircraft offer a range of 2,950nm (5,463km).

By GlobalDataBombardier said that it had booked firm orders for 138 CSeries airliners from customers that include Braathens Aviation, Deutsche Lufthansa, PrivatAir, Republic Airways, and other unnamed customers.
According to the aircraft manufacturer, the listed customers have also booked options for 124 aircraft and purchase rights for ten, in addition to Ilyushin Finance’s letter of intent for 30 CSeries aircraft and from Atlasjet for 15 CS300.
Bombardier’s CSeries aircraft programme customers consist of major network carriers, national carriers, premium airlines that serve city centre airports, a low-cost airline, leasing companies and a company that offers full services to airline partners.
