Kenya Airways plans to acquire two Embraer E190 aircraft before the end of 2010.

Under the two-aircraft deal, the air carrier will take delivery of the larger Embraer E190 jet model leased from Jetscape later in the year.

The aircraft, powered by GEC34-10E engines, can fly up to 2,400nm carrying up to 114 passengers and will be fitted with in-seat in-flight entertainment technology for the carrier.

The planes will bring the total number of Embraer E jets ordered by the carrier to five.
