Russia plans to launch two Lunar rovers to the poles of the moon in 2013 to study deposits of water ice.
The lunar craft include a Russian Luna-Glob satellite and Luna-Resource satellite that will be jointly built by Russia and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Luna-Glob will use seismic methods instead of unavailable penetrators for the mission.
Luna-Resource is expected to comprise an Indian rocket and orbiter, and a Russian lander developed by Lavochkin R&D, as well as scientific payloads designed by the RAS Space Research Institute.
RAS Space Research Institute Director Lev Zeleny said that the landing spot had not yet been defined.
