Boeing is to deliver 20 next-generation 737-800 jetliners to Air China, under a new contract.
The chinese carrier will use the aircraft to expand its domestic routes.
The 737-800 is capable of flying a distance of up to 3,115nm at speeds of Mach 0.78, with up to 189 passengers in a single-class layout.
Boeing recently announced plans to increase the production rate of the 737 aircraft to 35 airplanes a month in 2012, due to increased demand for the aircraft.
