Russian Federal Space Agency, Roscosmos, has signed an agreement with Arianespace for ten additional Soyuz-ST rocket missions and relevant support from Guiana Space Centre (CSG).

The Soyuz-ST, a modified version of the Soyuz-2 three-stage launcher with Fregat upper stage, is adapted for the CSG’s conditions.

Part of the launch mission will serve for the deployment of the European navigation system, Galileo.

The new orders will bring the total number of Russian Soyuz launches from French Guyana to 24.
