Bombardier has confirmed All Nippon Airways as the undisclosed customer for five Q400 NextGen aircraft ordered in August 2009, with options for another five.
The order, worth $159m, would increase to $332m if all five options are converted into firm orders.
Designed for short-haul operations, the 70 to 80-seat Q400 NextGen aircraft are a large and fuel-efficient turboprops, powered by PW150A engines that can operate at 3,947shp.
The airplane features an active noise and vibration suppression (ANVS) system to give the Q400 NextGen aircraft passenger an even more pleasant cabin experience.
