Boeing has shown interest in working with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the field of communication satellites along with its ongoing collaboration in other areas.
The Indian agency already has an alliance in place with EADS Astrium for building commercial satellites weighing two-three tonnes at lift-off for the international market.
KR Sridhara Murthi, managing director of ISRO’s commercial arm Antrix Corporation, was quoted by the Press Trust of India as saying that ISRO and Boeing may explore new areas of business.
“We need to do a lot of homework before we could arrive at a collaborative level,” Murthi said.
