Maintenance of the Moskovia Airlines fleet is to be provided by Air France Industries and KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M).
The eight-year contract covers maintenance for the CFM56-7 engines that power B737-700 and B737-800 aircraft on a time and materials basis, and includes the lease of spare engines.
The Russian carrier leased the two B737-700s and two B737-800s in 2009 as a part of its fleet renewal plan to expand its international operations to Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Moskovia currently operates a fleet of three Antonov 12s, two B737-700s and two B737-800s with one more B737-700 and a B737-800 scheduled arrival shortly.
AFI KLM E&M offers technical support for airline operators ranging from engineering and aero structures work to the management, repair and supply of aircraft parts and components.
