Russia has launched its 41st cargo delivery mission from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the International Space Station (ISS).
The spacecraft will attach itself to the open port on the Pirs compartment at the ISS.
The 24ft-long Progress M-09M which was launched in a Soyuz booster will be transporting 2.5t of provisions such as food, spare parts, life support gear and experiment hardware.
The spacecraft will also be transporting 1,918lb of propellant, 926lb of water and 110lb of oxygen.
In addition, the Progress vehicle is carrying the ARISSat-1, a 66lb spacecraft that can support amateur radio operators and transmit still images of Earth from onboard video cameras, according to spaceflightnow.com.
