Swissport International subsidiary Swissport Executive Aviation opened a VIP terminal at Marrakech Menara Airport in Morocco on 1 February.
This is the company’s second facility in Morocco.
Swissport opened its first fixed-base operation (FBO) for business and executive aviation in Casablanca, Morocco, in 2018.
The new 500m² terminal features ‘state-of-the-art infrastructure’ that offers convenient and hassle-free arrivals, stopovers and departures, the company claims.
It also includes a Moroccan Airports Authority ONDA building for police and customs.
The terminal offers a lounge space that can accommodate 40 passengers, featuring a bar and a media corner.

Swissport Morocco CEO Christophe de Figueiredo said: “With the opening of our second Moroccan FBO in this new, state-of-the-art VIP terminal in Marrakech, we are further expanding Swissport’s strong position in the north African Executive Aviation market.
“We are pleased to increase our services and quality for the executive aviation community traveling to and from Marrakech Menara Airport.”

Last month, Swissport International signed a seven-year lease agreement with Melbourne Airport for its first air cargo facility in Australia.
Located on Mace Way, the facility offers direct airside access and ‘state-of-the-art cargo facilities’ to handle and store general cargo, animals, pharmaceuticals and perishables.
