Swedish construction and development firm Skanska along with its joint venture (JV) partner Hoffman Construction Company, has reached a contract amendment with the Port of Portland to expand Portland International Airport (PDX) in Oregon, US.
According to the amendment contract, the Swedish company will be responsible for carrying out works on the Terminal Core Expansion project.

The works include both interior and exterior finishes.
Construction works are currently going on, with substantial completion expected in 2025.
Skanska’s share of the contract amendment is $422m (SEK4.1bn), which will be included in the US order bookings for Q3 2022.
Last year in January, the firm received a contract for the construction of a further five gates at the north end of Concourse T at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (Hartsfield-Jackson) in the US.
