Rosneft Oil Company subsidiary, Rosneft Deutschland, has introduced an into-plane fuelling service at Stuttgart Airport in Germany.

The sale of aviation fuel in Germany is part of the company’s long-term business development strategy. Rosneft Deutschland provides a constant supply of aviation fuel throughout Germany.

Since the launch of its marketing transactions in Germany last year, Rosneft Deutschland has entered into a number of contracts to sell in-house jet fuel.

This includes an agreement with Aeroflot PJSC for refueling aircraft at Berlin Schönefeld Airport.

Around one third of scheduled passenger flights from Berlin are currently refuelled by Rosneft Deutschland.

Rosneft aims to further increase the production and sale of jet fuel in Germany and throughout Europe.

As a leading jet fuel supplier in the Russian market, Rosneft is in the process of expanding its international footprint to include further airports in China, Georgia, Germany, Mongolia, Spain and United Arab Emirates.

Earlier this week, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer Neste signed an agreement with Air bp to provide an increased amount of SAF to airport customers this year and the next year.

Last month, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) in the US announced plans to cut down carbon emissions with Neste’s SAF as part of its efforts towards net-zero carbon.

In 2018, Shell Aviation rolled out its electric pump jet refuelling vehicle in its operations at Stuttgart Airport in Germany.

The 20,000-litre refueller was developed by Esterer, with collaboration from Shell Aviation.
