OSI Systems’ Security division has secured a contract to supply its Real Time Tomography (RTT) 110 explosive detection system.

Under the contract, which is valued at nearly $13m, OSI Systems will provide multiple units of its RTT 110 explosive detection system, which will be installed at an Asia-Pacific international airport for screening passengers’ hold (checked) baggage.

The system uses a proprietary stationary gantry approach for providing high-resolution 3D imaging.

Its unique design also enables the efficient inspection of hold baggage and air cargo.

The system has currently been deployed at various airports worldwide, as well as air logistics providers.

It is in line with the European Civil Aviation Conference’s (ECAC) HBS EDS Standard 3 threat detection requirements.
