Bulgarian-Turkish consortium TIE-Ictas has won a BGN150m ($104m) contract from Bulgarian airport concessionaire Fraport Twin Star Airport Management to build terminals in Varna and Bourgas.
The Bourgas terminal will be built on a 20,000m2 area, and will have 31 check-in desks and the capacity to serve 2.7 million passengers per year.

The terminal in Varna will spread across 18,000m2, with 25 check-in desks to handle 1.8 million passengers per year.
Each terminal will have spacious halls for arrivals and departures, modern systems for handling passengers and luggage, a commercial area and open spaces.
Construction of the terminals will start in December 2011 and they will become operational in 2013.
