ST Engineering’s aerospace unit has secured new maintenance contracts worth $453m in the third quarter of 2011.

The maintenance contracts span from three to 18 months for aircraft maintenance and modification, component total support and engine total support, which will be carried out at facilities in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Its aircraft maintenance and modification unit won new airframe contracts, which include base maintenance, heavy maintenance, passenger-to-freighter (PTF) conversion and interior refurbishment on various commercial and military aircraft platforms.

The component total support win of the company has secured component contracts, which include maintenance-by-the-hour (MBHTM), avionics and mechanical component maintenance, and aerostructures and landing gear repair and overhaul.
