Southern Air Holdings is to enhance its fleet by leasing two Boeing 777F aircraft.

Southern Air will operate four of the aircraft when it receives the new 777Fs in March and April 2012

The new aircraft will be placed into service on behalf of DHL Express, which became Southern Air’s customer in September 2011.

The 777F is a twin-engine freighter and will offer a 17-28% fuel-per-tonne saving compared with other freighters, and it has a payload capacity of more than 100t and 650m3.
