Air transport and communications specialist SITA has signed a five-year contract with Egyptair to implement, manage and modernise the airline’s entire communications network.
The company is the primary provider of network communications to Egyptair.
This service will ensure secure and reliable connectivity to help increase operational efficiency of Egyptair and of more than 190 sites across the globe.
SITA’s new network communications will also help Egyptair improve its IT and communications infrastructure catering to its business needs.
Egyptair Holding Company chairman and CEO Sherif Fathi said: "We are constantly searching for ways to enhance our operational efficiency and with SITA’s range of IP services, we have a communications solution that covers all of our domestic and international sites and connects them to our headquarters.

SITAMiddle East, India and Africa president Hani El-Assaad said: "Our solutions will enable Egyptair to operate more effectively and efficiently.
"The technology will cover most of the airline’s domestic and international sites; sales offices, back-offices, and check-in counters."
Egyptair on the other hand will implement SITA messaging services as a medium to exchange mission-critical information with its partners across the air transport community.
It has its airplanes flying to Middle East, Africa, Europe, several Asian countries and New York.
