The PurePower engine uses an advanced gear system that allows the engine’s fan to operate at a different speed than the low-pressure compressor and turbine, and delivers both fuel efficiency and environmental benefits.

Each of the jets powered by two PurePower PW1100G-JM engines will offer double-digit fuel savings, environmental emissions, engine noise and operating costs.

Deliveries of the engines are scheduled to start in 2015.
