Lounge membership scheme Priority Pass has been introduced at 1,000 airport lounges worldwide, with 130 having opened in the past year.

The scheme, which offers a range of travel advantages to members, has recently been added at airports in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Myanmar, Cambodia, New Zealand and Australia.

Priority Pass global marketing director Stephen Simpson said: “The team has worked tirelessly to ensure Priority Pass members have access to the largest network of lounges across the globe and we are delighted to be able to offer access to over 1,000 lounges in key destinations across the globe.”

"Travellers prefer to enhance their travel with benefits such as lounge access, concierge services and exclusive experiences at their destinations."

“Not only has our network significantly grown over the last year, but so too has our knowledge and understanding of the changing global demands of the 21st century traveller.

“It is becoming increasingly clear that travellers are less prepared to pay a premium for business class seats, instead preferring to enhance their travel with benefits such as lounge access, concierge services and exclusive experiences at their destinations.”

Priority Pass has expanded to 69 new lounges across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, representing a 19% growth on the same period last year.
