Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies company, has secured an engine management contract from Cargolux Airlines to provide on-wing engine health monitoring.
Under the contract, Pratt & Whitney will provide a web-based advanced diagnostics and engine management tools to provide engine performance monitoring services to PW4056 engines being used by the airline fleet.
Pratt & Whitney said the contract would provide Cargolux with the data to make informed decisions about its fleet to improve reliability and reduce operating costs.
Cargolux Airlines International is an airfreight carrier based in Luxembourg, offering scheduled and charter services to more than 90 destinations.
