Parker Hannifin Corporation unit Parker Aerospace has been chosen by Rolls-Royce to support the latest turbofan engine development programme.
The Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engine is designed only for the Airbus A330neo platform.
Parker Aerospace vice-president and general manager Dave Overholt said: "Parker's long relationship with Rolls-Royce, working closely with the design and manufacture of the Trent family turbofan engines, has established us as a low risk and reliable partner."
The firm was chosen based on its long-term relationship and experience in lowering risk by leveraging design from the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB and Trent 1000 turbofan engine for the Airbus A350 XWB and the Boeing 787.
Under the agreement, Parker will provide main engine oil pumps, oil tanks, fuel nozzles and manifold, in addition to a portfolio of pneumatic control devices.
Parker fuel nozzles feature low-NOx and low-CO fuel atomisation technology, which is essential for the development and operation of environmentally friendly engines such as Trent 7000.
