OJSC National Air Company Uzbekistan Airways and Alitalia Societa aerea Italiana have signed a code-share partnership.

Pursuant to the agreement, Uzbekistan Airways will share its code on Alitalia-operated flights from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to Milan Malpensa and Rome, Italy.

American Airlines has unveiled its plan to invest up to $1.6bn to upgrade check-in facilities in Terminal 5, as well as centralise security screening checkpoints in Terminals 4 and 5 at Los Angeles International Airport, US.

American Airlines has also signed a letter of intent with Los Angeles World Airports to negotiate a new 15-year lease agreement.

The upgrades also include a new vertical circulation core and integration of passenger check-in and baggage claim areas.

Thales has secured a three-year contract to upgrade Security Operations Center (SOC) at Terminal 4 of John F. Kennedy International Airport.
