Rockwell Collins has agreed to buy US-based aircraft cabin interior company B/E Aerospace for a total consideration of $8.3bn.

Scheduled to be completed by next year, the transaction will allow Rockwell Collins to expand its cockpit and cabin solutions.

"The deal will allow HCL to increase its services for aerospace and defence market."

The acquisition is subject to approval by customary closing conditions, regulatory approvals and shareholders of both Rockwell Collins and B/E Aerospace.

India-based information technology services provider HCL Technologies has agreed to purchase Butler America Aerospace for $85m.

Requiring necessary approval from regulatory authorities, the acquisition is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

The deal will allow HCL to increase its services for aerospace and defence market.
