Lufthansa Technik has secured a long-term contract to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services on components designed by United Technologies subsidiary Hamilton Sundstrand for Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Lufthansa Technik, which becomes an official member of Hamilton Sundstrand’s Boeing 787 MRO supplier network, is expected to provide a wide range of services, which may include such technologies as bleedless systems and liquid cooling components.
Both companies are already cooperating in on-site support for components and projects for other aircraft to increase the reliability of components or the development of new repair methods.
