Lufthansa has launched a new app to provide passengers with all the necessary flight information on their journey.
Designed for the new Apple Watch, the app can be used as a boarding pass.
Passengers can access information on the app 24 hours before their flight and during different stages of their journey.
The new app is linked to Lufthansa’s existing apps on iPad and iPhone through Bluetooth.
It features technology that integrates all the flight-related data including information about boarding time, terminal, gate and seat number and provides constant reminders about flight timings.
Lufthansa German Airlines board product member, marketing and sales and chief commercial officer Jens Bischof said: "Our goal is to provide our customers with information and services in real time at all virtual touch points, thereby further to make their travel experience more comfortable.

By GlobalData"With this new app, our passengers will always be able to see the most important details about their flight – without having to take their smartphone out of their bag."
Initially, the functions will be available only for Miles & More participants who are logged in to the Lufthansa app for iPhones or iPads.
The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store at any time.
Since 2009, Lufthansa has been developing a range of applications for all the leading operating systems, and is also the first airline to develop and launch a mobile boarding card.
Currently, more than 50% of Lufthansa passengers check in with an online or mobile boarding card, the airline said.
