Commercial aircraft lessor Intrepid Aviation has signed an agreement with Turkish Airlines for the long-term lease of seven Rolls-Royce powered Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Intrepid Aviation president Doug Winter said: "This agreement is the culmination of a highly collaborative effort that will see the aircraft delivery stream commencing in 2016 following the installation of a new, dual-class cabin interior, further accelerating Turkish Airlines’ strong growth trajectory."
The company mainly focuses on twin-engine wide-body equipment, such as the Airbus A330 and A321, as well as the Boeing B777 and B787 aircraft.
Turkish Airlines chief investment and technology officer Ahmet Bolat said: "On behalf of Turkish Airlines, we want to thank the Intrepid team for their flexible, partnership-driven approach in bringing this unique opportunity together."
Established in 1933, Turkish Airlines currently operates a fleet of 300 passenger and cargo aircraft on several domestic and international routes.

By GlobalDataIn December, Intrepid delivered one Airbus A330-300 to Taiwan’s EVA Airways. The CF6-80E engines-powered aircraft is subject to a long-term lease to the carrier.
During the same period, Intrepid also delivered one Airbus A330-300, powered by Rolls Royce 772B engines, to Spain’s Evelop Airlines on a long-term lease.
In June, the company leased two B777-300ER jets to Philippine Airlines, which was part of the 777-300ER order that Intrepid placed with Boeing in 2014.
