Germany-based Haitec Aircraft Maintenance has selected Honeywell to provide avionics products to the former’s VIP and large-cabin aircraft operators to optimise passenger safety and comfort.

"This agreement signifies the next step in our relationship with Honeywell, enabling us to further expand our services from the commercial aviation market to our business jet customers."

The latest contract is based on an existing deal signed in 2014 between Honeywell and Haitec.

The previous contract was signed to develop a supplemental type certificate for Honeywell’s JetWave hardware for two Airbus 319 corporate jets owned and operated by Haitec’s customer Tyrolean Jet Services.

Haitec Aircraft Maintenance CEO Frank Rott said: "This agreement signifies the next step in our relationship with Honeywell, enabling us to further expand our services from the commercial aviation market to our business jet customers.

"As operators look to modernise their fleets, they can have access to the latest in avionics technology, helping pilots to improve the flying experience and meeting growing passenger expectations in the cabin."

In April, Honeywell Aerospace entered into new three-year contracts with Asia Pacific business aviation operator Deer Jet, enrolling three G550 aircraft of the operator’s fleet into the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan.

As part of the deal, Deer Jet will be benefit from the full range of Honeywell avionics, helping operators to avoid downtime and control maintenance costs for the selected jets.
