Goodrich and Hawaiian Airlines have extended their current Prime Solutions nacelle maintenance agreement to include three Boeing 717-200 aircraft inducted into the airline’s fleet in October 2011.

The contract extension will support the fleet of 18 Boeing 717-200 aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce BR715 engines. Goodrich’s Aerostructures business vice-president and general manager of aftermarket Paul Farsetta said this extension demonstrates Hawaiian Airlines’ confidence in the value and service levels of the existing nacelle maintenance programme with Goodrich.

"We are pleased that our proactive Prime Solutions nacelle maintenance management programme continues to be an integral and valuable part of their fleet management approach and we look forward to continuing our relationship," Farsetta said.

The original agreement was signed in 2001 for providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services along with management of spare parts, rotables and dedicated technical support. The additional aircraft included in the agreement will attain the same customised full-support package as created in the original nacelle flight hour agreement signed in 2001.

Goodrich’s Prime Solutions services offer full life cycle support for nacelle systems by providing the airlines with cost savings related to nacelle maintenance infrastructure by transferring risk and extending product residual value. It can be customised to include MRO, management of spares, rotables and other assets, as well as technical support for the flying hardware.

Earlier this month the company signed a nacelle services agreement with BA CityFlyer for support of nacelles and thrust reversers in the airline’s fleet of Embraer 190 aircraft powered by General Electric CF34-10 engines. The five-year contract will be managed through Goodrich’s Prestwick Service Centre in Scotland.
