The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), operator of Toronto Pearson International Airport, has awarded a strategic information technology (IT) and business transformation contract to Wipro.

After a competitive procurement process, Wipro was appointed by GTAA as the final vendor for the new project.

GTAA vice-president and chief information officer Martin Boyer said: “As Toronto Pearson continues to grow as a global hub airport, we remain committed to enhancing our passenger experience through technological advancements.

The new collaboration will enhance airport operations, deliver integrated services using appropriate airport practices, create new opportunities for joint innovation, and support Toronto Pearson in becoming the world’s leading digital airport.

Teams from GTAA and Wipro are working in close cooperation to implement the new contract over the coming months.
