ARINC vMUSE CUPPS allows airlines to process travellers at any workstation or boarding gate at an airport.

CGN Passenger Services and Operations manager Jochen Gortz said: "The implementation of ARINC vMUSE will be used by our entire airport community.

"ARINC vMUSE meets the latest IATA standards today, and ensures we are ready to handle new requirements coming in the future.

"In addition, ARINC vMUSE allows airlines to share workstations, reducing costs and making the best use of our airport’s existing infrastructure."

Rockwell Collins uses its ARINC Managed Services (AMS) solution to provide all day all year round on-site and on-call IT support services for the passenger processing systems at CGN.

It also deploys German-speaking help desk operators to help airport personnel.

"ARINC vMUSE meets the latest IATA standards today, and ensures we are ready to handle new requirements coming in the future."

Gortz added: "We are very pleased with the work the Rockwell Collins team is doing to help us meet an aggressive implementation schedule.

"The combination of Rockwell Collins CUPPS and IT support will deliver an outstanding travel experience for our passengers."

Apart from Cologne Bonn Airport, three other European airports have deployed the ARINC vMUSE platform delivered by Rockwell Collins.

The three other airports to use the solution include Berlin Schonefeld Airport (SXF) in Germany, and the Dublin and Cork airports in Ireland.
