Russian-based Gazprom Neft’s aviation-fuel business subsidiary Gazpromneft-Aero has expanded its fuelling chain to a third airport in Vietnam.
After the cities of Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, Gazpromneft-Aero opened a new fuelling service at Cam Ranh International Airport in Cam Ranh, Vietnam.

On the first day, Gazpromneft-Aero fuelled Volga-Dnepr aircraft at the Cam Ranh International Airport.
Under a fuel supply agreement with Vietnam’s Petrolimex Aviation, Gazpromneft-Aero carries out its fuel supply activities in Vietnam.
The deal promises to provide refuelling facilities to the customers of Gazpromneft-Aero in local Vietnamese airports.
This year, the company’s total fuelling volumes in Vietnam has crossed 21,000t limit, doubling last year’s volume.

By GlobalDataGazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Egorov said: "Gazpromneft-Aero aims to take advantage of growing inbound tourism to Vietnam and other Asia-Pacific countries by increasing fuelling partnerships with airlines in local airports.
"The Company’s strategy is to expand its international airport network further by cooperating with local suppliers, in order to guarantee efficient fuelling and excellent quality fuel to air carriers."
Last year, Gazpromneft-Aero started refuelling regular flights for Aeroflot Group member Aurora at Gimhae International Airport, located in another Asia-Pacific region of South Korean city called Busan.
With the company’s first entry into the South Korean market, Gazpromneft-Aero has increased its presence to 132 airports across 50 countries.
Apart from other destinations, the company has claimed to have registered growth in its homeland.
In October, Gazpromneft-Aero stated that in the first nine months of this year, the company had increased the volume of aviation fuel supplies for the customers of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), including all QATAR Airways and Air India flights in Russia by 40%, to 9,000t.
The ENOC flights operate from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport to international airports in Doha and New Delhi.
