Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide (Fraport) is trialling a free streaming service for passengers at Frankfurt Airport.

The ‘FRA Entertainment’ service will allow passengers to stream the latest movies, music and TV shows on their mobile phones or laptops using the airport’s free Wi-Fi.

The technology, which works on iOS or Android platforms, is currently being tested at selected departure gates.

Promoters are distributing leaflets to attract travellers and collect feedback about the new service.

The trial is expected to continue until the end of May, after which the airport will decide whether to continue the service at the gates.

Earlier in March, Fraport introduced Gaming World, a new recreation area for passengers at the airport.
