Embraer has delivered the first Embraer 190 jet to Italian airline Alitalia as part of a 20-jet order.
The delivery is a part of an order placed by the Italian carrier in March 2011 for five Embraer 190s and 15 Embraer 175s.

Alitalia will operate all 20 E-Jets under leasing deals agreed with Air Lease.
The Italian carrier will operate the 100-seat Embraer 190, which is configured in a single class, on its domestic and European network from Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Turin, Venice, Naples, and Catania Airports.
