UTC Aerospace Systems has been awarded a contract to provide wheels and carbon brakes for the A320neo single-aisle aircraft fleet of HNA Group Company Ltd. (HNA Aviation).

As part of the contract, UTC Aerospace Systems will manufacture A320neo’s carbon brakes using DURACARB carbon heat sink material at its facility in Troy, Ohio, US.

Aleris has won a multi-year contract to supply aluminium plate and sheet products to Airbus for use in the manufacture of aircraft fuselage and wing structures.

"The contract includes supply of a PurePower Geared Turbofan engine for an additional 10 Airbus A320neo aircraft."

As part of the contract, Aleris will also provide Airbus with advanced wing skin materials. The contractual work is scheduled to start in the next year.

AerCap Holdings N.V., an aircraft leasing company headquartered in the Netherlands, has awarded an engine supply contract to Pratt & Whitney.

The contract includes supply of a PurePower Geared Turbofan engine for an additional 10 Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Airbus has secured an order from low-cost European carrier Norwegian for the supply of 30 A321LR aircraft, a new variant of A320neo.

The new order follows a deal signed by Norwegian for 100 Airbus A320neo aircraft. The first aircraft is scheduled to be delivered in 2019.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed by Aerosud Group and Ethiopian Airlines to set up a joint venture (JV) company for manufacturing aerospace components.

The joint venture aims to produce multiple aircraft components and supply them to aerospace companies such as Boeing and Airbus.
