NATS and Nav Canada have signed a partnership agreement, as part of which NATS Services will invest in Searidge Technologies, a provider of digital remote tower solutions in Canada.

Following the acquisition, NATS will become a joint and equal shareholder in Searidge, which will continue to operate as an independent company along with Nav Canada.

Searidge Technologies offers digital remote tower solutions to airports across the world.

In a move to expand the travel options between Lebanon and Turkey, Middle East Airlines (MEA) and Turkish Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement, which will be effective from 15 May.

"NATS will become a joint and equal shareholder in Searidge, which will continue to operate as an independent company along with Nav Canada."

Pursuant to the agreement, MEA will place its code on Turkish Airlines’ flights from Istanbul to Beirut, while Turkish Airlines will share its code on MEA-operated flights on the Beirut-Istanbul route.

SITA has been selected by Juan Santamaria International Airport, Costa Rica, to deploy its fully integrated control centre technology solution at the airport.

SITA’s ControlBridge solution enables centralised controlling and monitoring of all airport operations, including security, boarding gates, baggage handling, emergency response, ground handling and facilities management.

It also facilitates the airport’s collaborative decision-making (A-CDM) with all stakeholders.

Indian air carrier, Jet Airways, has signed a code-share agreement with Air France-KLM S.A., Netherlands’ KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and US-based Delta Air Lines.

The agreement enables the company to provide direct services from Chennai, India, to Paris, France, and from Bengaluru, India, to Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The new services will begin from 29 October 2017.
