Qantas Airways has extended its code-share partnership with Jet Airways India to provide additional travel options between Australia and India.
Effective from 1 October 2016, the expanded agreement will allow the latter to operate the former’s flights on three routes, including Chennai to Singapore, Delhi to Bangkok, and Delhi to Hong Kong.

By GlobalDataThe US government has granted $427,500 in financing for the Schenectady County Airport located in New York, US.
The grant has been provided as part of the Airport Improvement and Rehabilitate Access Road Programme, headed by the US Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
It will be used for the second part development of a two-phase project, which includes the installation of a 5,200ft wildlife perimeter fence to protect the airport from potential wildlife hazards and unauthorised access into its premises.
The government will provide $0.4m of funding for the rehabilitation of Roanoke Blacksburg Regional airport in New York.
It will also supply $0.35m to Akron Airport in Ohio, US, for the installation of a runway vertical / visual guidance system and lighting, as well as approximately three acres of land for future development.
