Us-based Hawaiian Airlines has chosen Cobham SATCOM's AVIATOR 350D system for its new Airbus A321neo aircraft fleet.

The AVIATOR 350D system provides satellite connectivity to the cockpit of Hawaiian Airlines’ Airbus A321neo (new engine option) aircraft.

The United Republic of Tanzania has placed a $200m firm order with Bombardier Commercial Aircraft for two CS300 aircraft and one Q400 turboprop aircraft.

"Under the contract, GKN Aerospace will manufacture development parts for TRF at its facility in Trollhattan, Sweden."

The aircraft to be delivered under the deal will be leased and operated by Air Tanzania Company.

US-based Space Systems/Loral has received a $127m contract from Nasa to provide support services for the Restore-L spacecraft, which is scheduled to be launched in 2020.

With a three-year base period and a two-year extension option, the contract covers spacecraft bus, hardware and related services for the Restore-L spacecraft.

Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) has awarded a contract to GKN Aerospace for the development of turbine rear frame (TRF).

Under the contract, GKN Aerospace will manufacture development parts for TRF at its facility in Trollhattan, Sweden.

Expected to be delivered next year, the TRF will be used for AECC-owned Commercial Aero Engine’s high-bypass turbofan jet engine programme.

Cranfield Aerospace Solutions and Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop aerospace and aviation engineering solutions.

The deal will also allow the two companies to establish joint working groups to identify proposals for joint programmes.
