US-based company Harris has been selected by Italian air navigation service provider ENAV to improve Italy's air traffic management (ATM) network.
Harris will provide its Osyris Extended Arrival Manager (E-AMAN) technology to help ENAV effectively manage air traffic at Italian airports.
Gatwick Airport in London, UK, has awarded two frameworks to 18 companies for its £1.15bn ($1.49bn) five-year transformation project.
The frameworks require 13 companies to provide design, civil engineering and mechanical services for the project, while the remaining consultancies will provide professional services using commercial and project management resources.
IT and telecommunication firm SITA has partnered with iPass, a mobile connectivity services company based in the US, to provide Wi-Fi services to airports and airlines worldwide.
iPass will provide its SmartConnect Wi-Fi connectivity services through SITA’s Marketplace.aero marketplace.
